It’s been a great week at West Linton. After an enjoyable long weekend celebrating St Andrew’s Day we returned to our Christmas Crafts open afternoon. Thanks to all the parents who left with a little more sparkle than they arrived – and our patient cleaners left clearing the glitter!
Rehearsals have been hotting up for our Christmas Concert which involves every pupil from ELCC through to P7. The rehearsal this morning provided lots of smiles, laughs, surprises and a little lump in the throat or two!
The school was transformed this weekend by our PTA members and their helpers for the Bazaar. This small, cheerful band were in school at various points during the week to prepare for the day and we are most grateful to them for their time and commitment. Even more parents committed to helping on the day – we are very lucky at school to have such positive, supportive families.
The Bazaar was a great success – really well attended, despite the weather! It was lovely to have the West Linton Market stall holders with us too and to get the chance to welcome more people from the community into the school. Thanks to all involved!
Next week we have a presentation from the Young Engineers and a visit from Christine Grahame MSP during our Citizenship Gathering on Monday. Tuesday brings the Christmas concerts. On Wednesday our ELCC are off to Purves Puppets and Thursday is the day of our Christmas Lunch. It’s sure to be a busy week which flies past – let’s hope the weather remains kind to us for each of these events!
